Every 20 years the UN organizes the Habitat world summit on human settlements, (Habitat I, Vancouver 1976; Habitat II, Istanbul, 1996). The upcoming summit, Habitat III will be hosted in Quito in October 2016. The main outcome of the Habitat summits is the Habitat Agenda, which set out the guidelines and policies for human settlements for the next 20 years….
